Who’s Involved
Dr. Arlene Bierman, Principal Investigator, leads an interdisciplinary team of over 60 researchers with relevant content and methodological expertise. The research team's expertise spans a number of fields including health services research, medicine, nursing, social sciences and health care policy.
The POWER Study is a collaborative approach. The research team is organized into working groups, based on subject areas of the Report (e.g. cancer, depression). Each working group has its own lead investigator and is assisted by skilled statisticians, analysts and research coordinators. Supporting the POWER study are an Advisory Council, Technical Expert Panels, and Community Stakeholders representing areas across the province of Ontario.
For more information on the collaborative research model used to produce the POWER Report, see the Introduction chapter.
