Sheila Dunn is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of Toronto and a researcher at the Women's College Research Institute, Toronto. Clinically she works as a family physician at Women's College Hospital and is the Research and Program Director of the Bay Centre for Birth Control, a large women's sexual health clinic.

Dr. Dunn has been involved in research, programming and education to facilitate women's access to sexual health services such as emergency contraception, abortion and colposcopy. Her research interests are in the areas of contraception and abortion, reproductive health indicators, emergency contraception and sexual health of immigrant women.

Recently she has also been working on initiatives to improve sexual health and maternity care for indigenous women in remote areas of Guyana. Her work addresses the affect of health systems and policies on sexual health care access and choice.
