Dr. Paula Rochon is the Vice President of Research at Women's College Research Institute. She is a Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. Dr. Rochon is also a Senior Scientist at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences. She is a specialist in internal medicine and geriatric medicine. Dr. Rochon has held funding from federal funding agencies including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) in the United Sates.   She was a recipient of the Ontario Premier's Excellence Award. 

Dr. Rochon's research focus is on the pharmacologic management of chronic disease with an emphasis on vulnerable populations, particularly older women. Her work explores patterns of adverse drug events and evaluates strategies to improve the quality of drug therapy use in the population. Currently she is the Chair of the Gender Issues Committee for the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
