Paul Huras
Paul Huras is the founding CEO of the South East Local Health Integration Network, where he provides the leadership for the LHINs responsibilities of local health system planning, community engagement, allocating the funds and monitoring the performance of the $850,000,000 South East Health System. He has over 25 years of health system leadership experience, including 14 years as CEO of the Thames Valley District Health Council and, previously, 5 years as Vice President of Planning and Information Services at the Peel Memorial Hospital, where he also served as Acting Executive Vice President.
Paul is a Fellow with the School of Public Policy, Queen's University and holds an adjunct appointment with Queen's in the Department of Community Health & Epidemiology, Faculty of Health Sciences and with the University of Western Ontario (UWO) as an Assistant Professor, Epidemiology, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. He has taught courses in health management in the Department of Continuing Education, UWO.
Paul is a Board Member of the Institute of Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES) and the past Vice Chair of the provincial Association of Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology (ACAATO). He is the past Chair of both The Michener Institute and Fanshawe College.
Paul holds a MBA and a MSc (Epidemiology), as well as the CHE designation with the Canadian College of Health Service Executives and a FACHE designation with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
