Patrice Lindsay
Dr. Lindsay is currently the Performance and Standards Specialist for the Canadian Stroke Network. In this role she is Lead for the development of best practice stroke guidelines for the Canadian Stroke Strategy. She has also developed a performance measurement model for stroke care across Canada and is involved in ongoing stroke surveillance and development of benchmarks.
She completed her PhD in Health Services Research/Evaluation and Outcomes through the Department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto, and currently teaches graduate courses in performance measurement and program evaluation. She holds an Adjunct Scientist appointment with the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences in Toronto, and an Associate Investigator appointment with the Ottawa Health Research Institute.
She has a background in cardiac critical care nursing and quality management. Her current research focus is the development and application of performance measurement methodologies and the use of primary and administrative data to measure quality of care across the entire continuum of care.
