Lina Johnson

Lina Johnson is a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto, Department of Health Policy Management and Evaluation. Her PhD is in the stream of health outcomes and evaluation and will focus on cesarean sections. Upon completion of her PhD, Lina will be returning to Halton Healthcare Services as Director of Decision Support, where her key responsibilities include clinical volume planning and the development, analysis and dissemination of performance measurement indicators and tools for the hospital.

Prior to her work in Decision Support, Lina worked as a consultant and research assistant in health services, as a hospital finance manger, and as a nurse educator and clinical nurse in a variety of intensive care units in the Greater Toronto area.

Lina’s interests are in applied health services research, performance measurement, volume forecasting and improvement of quality and efficiency for hospitals and community care services within the context of local health integration networks.
