Jack Lee has been a senior level public health administrator for over three decades in both British Columbia and Ontario as well as in the United States.  He has been serving as the Senior Strategic Advisor to the Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion since its creation in 2005.  

Among the innovative health policies and programs that  Dr. Lee has led or been actively involved in developing include healthy cities, health promotion , community development, geriatric dental treatment services, food security and life span issues including healthy childhood development, homeless youth and isolated seniors. 

Among his numerous international projects were the coordination of an interchange between Toronto and Sao Paulo health units over a ten year period, health services decentralization in Bolivia, health promotion interventions in Cuba and primary health care in Trinidad and Tobago. 

He has presented over 100 papers nationally and internationally and published numerous articles.  Dr. Lee is also a member of the Conference Board of Canada's Roundtable on the Social Determinants and Health and a member of the Board of Directors of United Way Toronto and is actively engaged in measuring the impact of United Way's community capacity and development interventions, focusing on youth and newcomers to Canada.
