Associate Scientist, Center for Research on Inner City Health, St. Michael's Hospital Farah Ahmad is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto Dalla Lana School of Public Health and an Associate Scientist at the Centre for Research on Inner City Health at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. To address health disparities, Dr. Ahmad's research and teaching focus on health promotion and illness prevention through an examination of individual, socio-cultural, and institutional determinants of health.
Dr. Ahmad's research foci include:
- access to health services;
- women's health;
- immigrant/ethnic health;
- domestic violence;
- cancer screening; and
- physician-patient communication.
