Doug Manuel
Doug Manuel joined the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES) in 1999 and is currently an Adjunct Scientist. He recently relocated to Ottawa where he is a Senior Scientist of Ottawa Health Research Institute and a Senior Medical Advisor for Statistics Canada.
He holds a Canadian Institute for Health Research Chair in Applied Public Health. He is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences, at the University of Toronto. He is an MD with a Masters in Epidemiology and Royal College specialization in Community Medicine. For the past 15 years, he has been a primary care clinician in rural and remote Canadian communities.
