Anne Rhodes
Dr. Rhodes is a Senior Scientist situated in the Suicide Studies Unit based at St. Michael's Hospital and an Adjunct Scientist at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences. She has a background in psychiatric nursing and a doctoral degree in Epidemiology with current appointments to the Departments of Psychiatry and Public Health Sciences. Her Career Scientist Award from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Health, Research Personnel Development Program, enabled her to research the population-based care of depressed and suicidal individuals garnering grants from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research and the Ontario Mental Health Foundation.
She is currently conducting a longitudinal study of the child welfare population in Ontario to identify mediators of their increased risk of adverse mental health outcomes, including suicidal behaviours.
